Jets Fans Act Like He Never Left

Welcome back, Chad! All those fans who cheered Chad Pennington's departure had nothing to complain about Sunday during the Jets' 31-28 win over Miami. All it takes is a suspect defense for a struggling unit to turn itself around. Pennington threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Hand out the gold stars to Thomas Jones (110 yards rushing), Jerricho Cotchery (54 yards receiving) and Laveranues Coles (30 yards and a touchdown). For a team that hadn't even held a lead over the first two games, the Jets looked plenty impressive on offense in Week 3.

A late Miami touchdown made the the game appear closer than it was, but the Jets' defense didn't exactly play shutdown football. Ronnie Brown had a field day, and even with a big lead, the Jets still couldn't escape until the final minutes. Brown's rushing total -- 112 yards -- shouldn't trouble the Jets nearly as much as his receiving total. Allowing 99 yards to a featured back doesn't seem right, and Coach Eric Mangini will probably work with his linebackers to make sure something like that doesn't happen again. With a winnable game at 0-3 Buffalo next week, he might have some early success.

the jets played a terrible team. it's only a matter of time until pennington looks bad again. but of course the jets organization is going to keep dragging the pennington era along as long as it can while jets fans suffer.
watch! by mid-season or the end of season pennington will look awful and everyone will scratch their heads wondering why clemens wasn't the atarter. jets = worst decision makers in the nfl.
