EVENT: All week long Lower Manhattan has become a stage. Today, "watching from behind a window overlooking the site, viewers observe Bill Shannon and crew engage with the public space and pedestrian traffic in their freestyle performance that taps into the hip-hop/skateboard tradition of street improvisation. The distance between audience and performers is mitigated by holographic screens and live audio and video mixing by special guests." DJ Excess will be on hand for some live audio mixing. More info here.

Noon // 140 Broadway // Free, RSVP here

ART: You won't get the typical celeb shots at this show. Today check out Henny Garfunkel's One Last Shot: Signed Polaroid show, which features polaroids of some Hollywood heavyweights in candid moments (and not the kind of candid The Enquirer would spend big bucks on).

2 to 8pm // Lincoln Center's Frieda and Roy Furman Gallery [70 Lincoln Center Plaza] // Free

200709mward.jpgMUSIC: Just as the outdoor summer shows come to an end, there are some good free shows to be enjoyed in the cool September weather. Tonight M. Ward (pictured) takes the stage at 7 WTC along with Victoria Williams and McCarthy Trenching. The perfect way to wind down from the work day.

5:30pm // 7 World Trade Center Park // Free

THEATER: If you saw The Aristocrats, you know that Billy the Mime is not the typical mime people want to shoot in the white-face. Nor is he the mime to take home to Mother. Ribald, imaginative and ballsy, Billy brings a post-modern sensibility to the maligned art form. His America LoveSexDeath opens the invisible door on a wide range of historical controversies with such routines as “The Priest and The Altar Boy”, “The Abortion”, “A Day Called 9/11”, and “Kurt Cobain: Why?” The Central Arbiter declares it an “impressive, entertaining work.” - John Del Signore

7pm // Flea Theater [41 White St] // Tickets cost $35.
