Last Night's Action: Things Are Good North Of The Border

2007_09_beliman.jpg

  • Yankees 9 Toronto 2: Alex Rodriguez didn’t hit a home run, ending his streak at five-straight games. He did manage two hits, but it was some other Yankees that shouldered the offensive load for a change.

Johnny Damon had a great game, going 3-for-5 and making an outstanding catch. Jason Giambi woke his slumbering bat with a grand slam and Jorge Posada added two hits and a home run. Phil Hughes did just enough and was helped by some great defensive plays as he allowed six baserunners, but only one run over six innings.

  • Braves 13 Mets 5: This was one to forget as the Braves jumped all over El Duque and pounded out 13 hits. On the plus side, the Phillies lost, so the lead remains at six games and the magic number is down to thirteen.
  • Some Jets and Giants News: The Patriots are apparently guilty of videotaping the Jets’ signals (hello, Belicheat headlines!) while Eli Manning’s shoulder looked better than expected to Dr. Andrews.
  • Nothing to do with New York City, but this is great news

It is awesome news for him and his family.

The Bills are the only NFL team that plays in the state of new york, new jersey teams don't count. So it has a lot to do with nyc.

Haha #1, I was thinking the same thing. :)

Go Bills!!! :) That is such great news; Everett and his family are still in my prayers.

I'm going to be very sad when the Bills finally give up and move to LA.
