Video of the Day: Tug Boats Take the Hudson

New York's Tugboat Race, recently profiled in The NY Times, was held on September 2nd -- bringing many a tugboat out to the Hudson River for a one nautical mile race. The urban, aquatic equivalent of a tractor pull is quite the spectacle, check out the dash for the finish line below:

Yeah I'm not sure about that video either but the photos on the linked post sure are amazing.

I also found these loco pictures of the "largest container ship" on the site...

Check out the photo on the bottom of the tug next to her. The power some of these little tugboats have is incredible.
