TV Dinners: September 10-16

tvdinner.jpgThis week on food-TV, we've got:

Tonight on No Reservations (10pm on the Travel Channel), Bourdain goes to Buenos Aires and Patagonia, Argentina.

On Top Chef, Episode 11 airs Wednesday at 10pm (Bravo). Chef Jimmy Canora is the guest judge. Frank Bruni blogs about the show in the Times, calls Howie “the season’s best villain, the toque you’d love to choke.” And Bourdain is guest judging again this week as well; says that this episode “will make Altamount look like the Lilith Fair.”

Martha Stewart airs all new episodes this week, at a new time (1pm, NBC). On Tuesday, Chef Ron Suhanosky of Sfoglia is a guest.

We love PBS’ Sunday afternoon lineup, from 4-6:30pm (Ch. 13). First up is Chef’s Story, this week featuring Norman Van Aken, then Complete Pépin, with an episode on pots, pans and the perfect egg. The Best Recipes in the World with Mark Bittman follows with an episode on desserts, then Lidia Bastianich with an episode on truffles on Lidia’s Italy, then Daisy Cooks! With Daisy Martinez on pork chops.

And in Food Network news, Mario Batali’s shows won’t be airing anymore; read about it in the Post here. Batali says he’ll continue on Iron Chef though; also in the Post.
