Vendy Awards Finalists Are In

You nominated your favorites and now the finalists have been revealed:

- NY Dosas, at West 4th Street near Sullivan Street, South side of Washington Square Park;
- Kwik Meal, on 6th Avenue and 45th Street;
- Super Tacos, on 96th Street and Broadway (we've been waiting for this one to hit the list);
- King Falafel and Schwarma, at 30th Street and Broadway in Queens; and
- Veronica’s Kitchen on Front Street and Pine Street.

Get more details on all the nominees by watching the video, and support the Urban Justice Center's Street Vendor Project by going to the Vendy Awards on September 29th from 3-8pm at Tompkins Square Park. Tickets are $60 each ($75 at the door) and are available online.

I'm a huge fan of NY vendors - but unfortunately not huge enough to pay $60 for the "event".

I concur, the food at Kwik Meal is addictive. The chicken over rice with white sauce is soooooo good.

They must put crack in the chicken at Kwik Meal, it is so addictive. Better than most restaurants.

kwik is an amazing cart. their lamb while a bit pricey for cart food is delicious.

the vendy awards should not be judged on taste, but on the likelihood (or unlikelihood) that you'll spend the weekend diminishing your supply of toilet paper after eating at one of these fine establishments.
