Find Your Inner Meow at the Meow Mix Acatemy

If you've passed the the Daryl Roth Theatre in Union Square lately, you may have wondered, "What is a Meow Mix Acatemy?" Well, it's simple: Meow Mix is giving cat owners an opportunity to understand their cats better by offering classes about cat behavior!

The Meow Mix Acatemy has all sorts of interactive courses to simulate different aspects of cat behavior. For instance, there's Catnapping, Cat-isthenics (rock climbing walls and human-sized scratching areas), Cat Scratch Fever (learn how to DJ), and Arts & Cats (create a new toy for your cat!). And humans aren't the only ones who are invited - you can visit with your cat.

You can see descriptions of the courses here, as well as special seminars (cat psychic!), on this PDF. The Acatemy open tomorrow and will be open noon to 7PM through Saturday. And for every student who visits, Meow Mix will donate a pound of cat food to New York's Animal Haven.

Last year, Meow Mix had the Meow Mix House on Madison Avenue.

even though my cat eats only feline z/d because she has an allergy, i plan to check out the acatemy. last year's meow mix house video cams were fun to watch and i finally uptown to see the cats in person. remember the standoffish nyc cat bambi that sat on the sofa all week and was the last to get adopted? i wonder show she's doing...

my vet said feeding my cat meow mix most likely contributed to the cancer he developed at the age of 5. he didn't make it. now i feed my cats wellness. say no to by-products. they kill.

i may go there to shit in the kitty litter as a protest/performance art piece. be there.
