THE FAA HAS ADVISED THAT TWO (2) MILITARY F-15 AIRCRAFT WILL BE PERFORMING A FLYOVER OVER NEW YORK CITY AT 1330 HOURS ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 17TH, 2007. THE AIRCRAFT WILL FLY ALONG THE EAST RIVER AND THEN VEER OUT TO THE EAST.Aha!THIS NOTIFICATION IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS INTENDED TO ALLAY ANY CONCERNS OR FEARS OF POTENTIAL MILITARY ACTIVITY OVER NEW YORK CITY AIRSPACE AS A RESULT OF WITNESSING THIS SCHEDULED EVENT.
Here's the Air Force's description of the F-15 Eagle. Last year, a Stealth bomber did a flyover over Yankee Stadium.

I want to see a B-17, B-24, and B-25 fly over here... I remember seeing those old planes lumber into the airshows as a kid. They have an instantly recognizable sound. A real treat to watch.

Your newer aircraft may perform better, but the F-15 is a way cooler-looking design.

Last year (or the year before) there was a B24 flying around the Hudson. I saw it a couple of times and one day, it passed right above me... this was at Wavehill. You can pay for rides in those planes...
Also will be here Sun for Military Appreciation day at Yankee Stadium.
