THEATER: The Ateh Theater Group presents Long Distance, comprised of three one act plays adapted from the short stories of Judy Budnitz. The plays peel back the veneer of “normal” family life to explore the frayed, frustrated nerve endings snarled therein. In Skin Care, Amy's little sister catches leprosy at college; Visitors concerns Meredith's parents’ bitter refusal to ask directions despite imminent threats; and Flush shows us how Lisa's mom will do anything to get out of her mammogram “even if she has to break the laws of space and time to do it.” The Times calls it “dazzling.”- John Del Signore
