Pet Mug Shots Coming to a Bus Stop Near You

If you see a cat or dog in a "wanted" poster on a bus stop, don't be too surprised. Animal Care & Control of New York City is launching a new advertising campaign featuring mug-shot style pictures of pets along with the reason they are up for adoption. The striking images will appear on phone kiosks, buses and bus shelters.
The images are of real animals up for adoption from Animal Care & Control. Visit the AC&C website for more information on how to adopt or how you can get involved.

I'm sorry, but anyone who gets ridof their pet so they can move into a certain building is really a cruel, inhumane POS.
Interesting how the Felines all seem to look like they did it, while the Canines all look like they were in the "Wrong place at the wrong time".
That said, they all seem to take pretty good mug-shot pictures. At least none of them come off like Nike Nolte!
I can has home?
Those animals look more airbrushed than Beyonce Knowles.
I bet they are all wearing lightening makeup and wigs too.
Seriously, they could use a few misplaced whiskers here and there. Let's face it, pets who have been abandoned by there owners don't usually look so well taken care of.
Plenty of cat people in Brooklyn. Ask 100% of the single girls at Tea Lounge
Seriously they are animals. Pay more attention to making the lives of people better, not animals. If one animal dies, another dozen can take its place.
#8, I hate you.
Hmmm... if one person dies, #8, believe me, there are dozens more that can take there place, too.
I think I've said it here before, people can think of more than one thing at a time. Taking care of people and animals both is a good thing. But, I'm sure #8 is doing all that he/she can to help their fellow man 24/7, aren't ya, buddy?
I would save any of these animals, ...#8 - not so much.
Most people aren't worth it
Boo to you #8, boooooooo!
All those animals look worthy of saving. Except for that cat on the bottom right. God, why is she giving me that bitch face? Honey, I wasnt the one that abandoned you, let it go.
You'd think they would have picked cuter animals for the pics. The dog on the top left has a lazy eye.
Hmmm... volunteering could be fun, if you'd get to see cute animals going home with nice families. However, you'd also have to see lots of cute animals living in cages or worse... meh...

If they had a mug shot taken, they must be guilty of something.
#11 - walk the walk. They are all available for adoption.
I'm in ur tranzit. Feedin ur guilt.
I don't think CACC is a no-kill shelter. I think it's even run by the city. so if these don't get adopted they'll get to go in a oven then a 55 gal drum or something.
I'd rather have a cat roam free in the basement of a large apartment complex with one of those inside gardens than go to a shelter. those basements are huge.
Poster #8 you made yourself a moving target for a the animal louvers out there . I luv the mugshots, totally going to make people feel bad inside that they don't own a pet and will encourage them to go out and get one that they will in-turn live with the animal for a while , Realize What a commitment it really is and probably resent the animal or Return it too the shelter ! Sometimes a gud thing can turnout to be bad in the long run here Posted by; "Still Not Amused"
