MOVIES: With another version of Hairspray hitting the big screen this summer, it seems to be a season of decades past and, of course, hair! Movies With a View brings back the musical tale of Central Park hippies, small town boys headed to Vietnam and the '60s as they show the film Hair tonight.

It's the last night to catch Punk's Not Dead in the EV. The film features interviews and rare and unseen footage with bands like Bad Religion, The Ramones and Henry Rollins to...Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance and Sum 41? The press release claims the genre "continues to thrive" at "shopping malls and stadium shows," what do you think?

THEATER: Crack open a Duff and park it on the couch – it’s time once again for the American Living Room, that multi-disciplinary theatrical marathon that “strives to make theatre as much a part of everyday life as watching TV.” Now in its 18th year, the festival at HERE Arts Center hosts 25 projects, involving approximately 300 artists over the next month. Tonight’s choices are “65”, Hal Fickett’s surreal road trip ghost story, and Timothy Braun’s Trigger Happy Jack. “Told in rich soundscape and dreamlike images, Trigger Happy Jack is the story of a girl determined to survive in the Large, Large, Large City in the Sky.” - John Del Signore

Jen Carlson, you might want to do a little more research before sitting down at your laptop in the morning. Punk's Not Dead is endorsed by tons of bands anyone would consider punk and the bands you selectively mentioned make up a small portion of the film. The whole point of including them is to question the evolution of the movement. Sloppy journalism much?
In other news, that walking tour in Prospect Park requires a reservation. So don't plan on just showing up. Call (718) 287-3400 x 114. And bring cash, their CC machine is busted.
