I need this tickets to help convince my partner of three years that there are things he enjoys in New York. There are many reasons why he (not I) deserve these tickets, but the win-win of the situation is that if I convince you he should have them, I look like the best girlfriend ever. Here are the top three reasons why he should go to this show: A) He grew up in a small town, went to college in a small town, and has never been to a big show. Really. It's about time he experiences that. B) He loves Bjork, and I'm (please don't hate) a little annoyed by her voice. so his Bjork listening is mainly regulated to his iPod. C) He followed me to New York and has stuck by me, through the shit and his desperation to get back to the west coast. For that, free Bjork tickets is really the least I can do. So sappy, yes, but I'm willing to get sappy if it could help to convince him that he should stay and love New York.

Honestly from my heart, I have always loved Bjork's music, and I have been saving money to go to NYC just for a weekend, as a surprise to my future husband...when I read about the concert, I knew that it would literally be almost impossible for me to save money and make it happen, and this is my chance!! My boyfriend is a musician, and I believe his whole inspiration revolves around Bjork and her music, she has been his one and only role model; by being unique she has shown him the way to succeed and that anything is possible. Now, we are planning on having a baby, and I am supposed to be pregnant by Sept. 24th, so how about Bjork tickets as a present and the news about the baby to top it off??!!?? That would just make the most wonderful weekend in our lives so far and I know he would never expect it, for we live in an island, Puerto Rico, and we have not had a chance to see Bjork ever live, so this would just be a wonderful experience for both. All I have is all my love to dream about winning this tickets and making this happen for him!! Thanks for the help and the opportunity of winning the tickets, I just hope from the bottom of my heart we get picked, and so I just have to save enough money for the plane tickets, since I have family over in NYC who can offer us place to stay. Hope to GOD I can win this tickets, that would just make my year!!!!

I would not only LIKE to see Bjork, I would KILL to see her. Not literally, of course. I think Bjork is one of the few (if not, the ONLY) truly innovative artists of our time. Her voice speaks to me with such emotional vigor that it brings tears to my eyes. To experience it live would be a gift that I would never forget. I appreciate her music in all senses, I'm a musician myself and it completely baffles me how she comes up with these gorgeous vocal and instrumental scales/compositions. I'd love to see her because she touches me in places no musician has, she has the ability to make me feel cold, warm, scared, excited, and all other emotions just by singing one word. I'd love to see her because I have a passion for art and she is art in form. Bjork creates things unparalleled to anything played on the radio, or even off the radio for that matter. She is the reason my musicial threshold has been built up so much, she is the reason I listen to all the other incredibly talented and creative bands that I do. The first thing I do in the morning is play a Bjork song because she is so incredibly motivating. She gets me up and moving. I bet if you quizzed me on her I'd get all questions right. Well, I may miss a few because I don't keep OVER obsessive tabs on her life, but you get the picture. Bjork is the greatest thing to happen to music. Period. She is a gem and I need to see her before I die. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM PAYING FOR A PLANE TICKET, HOTEL, AND ALL OTHER EXPENSES. I WOULD BE ON CLOUD 9 IF I WON THESE TICKETS.

Limerick for Bjork & Gothamist: there once was a singer named Bjork who went to the Oscars dressed as a stork (well, a swan) she should be in the loony bin but I still want to win to see her at the Garden in New York! PS: I don't really think she should be in the loony bin. I think she's a brilliant creative unique musician, and I admire her work very much. I was sad to have missed her at Radio City in May - I couldn't afford them, even if I could have gotten them tickets in time.

I am her no. 2 fan, (because there is always someone more obsessed, more in love, more devoted, has more imported CDs, has worn her swan dress for Halloween) but no. 2 is just as important as no. 1. Pick the underdog, there's not enough people that route for the underdogs and plus I’m a poor, ramen noodle eating, full time working for the non-profits, graduate student paying overpriced school tuition with freelance job on the weekend living in a small dank expensive apartment with no windows and bed bugs. Don’t make me sell my eggs so that I may see Bjork for probably the last time, since she's getting old and probably wants to move back to Iceland before global warming melts her relatives away. I admire the irony of Iceland as a country with remarkably little ice. I also revel in how ironic it is that Bjork denounces all commercial exploits, while continuing to make (remarkably good) pop music. She is also from Iceland, which makes her cool. I want to go to MSG and watch her, while eating ice. Perhaps I will also wear a t-shirt proclaiming my love of ice and the lands that are associated with it. I have a confession: I am not really a true Bjork fan (not yet, at least...) I've enjoyed her music, but haven't followed it religiously. Actually, I have been fancying a great guy for a while that absolutely LOVES her. Getting these tickets would go beyond just impressing him, but would help me understand what is it about her that he loves. I don't believe that taking him to the concert would make him fall for me, but it would be a great date none-the-less. Help this gay guy dreams come true! Plus, I start grad school in a month (social work anyone?) and could use a break...

Bjork is my idol. I've been listening to her since The Sugarcubes, and my one dream is to see her perform. I even got a tattoo years back to resemble hers, though it's not quite the same. I've wanted to catch Bjork live since I was 11 years old. The first time I heard her it was unbelievable. The amazing thing about her is not only her music but her visual sense. Her music videos (as well as her music) always break new ground and appeal to such a wide swath of people. Last night I was listening to some of her live music and was thinking about a review I read sometime back. She has never used a guitar in any of her music. A modern, popular musician and she's never used a guitar in any her tracks! If I was able to see her live it would be one of the best experiences in my life. Thanks for the opportunity.

I want to see Bjork becuase the last time i saw her she played in New Orleans when i was living there before the hurricane. I went with a bunch of friends and we had such a good time. I also saw her in Idaho where i was born becuase her husband is from there and we went to the same school but i want to see her in costume on stage.

I would like these tickets because over the past 15 years I have spent a TON of money seeing her in concert, as her tickets were never affordable. I recently attended the Apollo Show and if I told you what my ticket cost you would vomit. I know i almost did. But it was kick a**! i know its my own fault for being a bjork fan but I love her! the end. ps. and i am also a tori amos fan and her tix are also on sale $$$$$. pity me all around.

because I pretty much ignored her for the 90's... the beginning of 00's...and finally caught on a few years ago have never seen her in concert and now own all her albums (or is it cds'..or mp3's what is it being called these days) and i think i need to learn my lesson once and for all the bjork is the best musical artist alive and what would better way to teach it to me

I would love to see Bjork at MSG because i'm a poor early intervention social work grad student working my ass off for the betterment of New York's children. Does that work for you? Seriously though, I'm really a big fan and i always seems to miss her shows when she's in NYC. She played three times when Volta came out and I missed every single concert because of classes and not having the dough for these big venue shows. I would love to see her this time around.

I've never seen Bjork and couldn't even listen to her for a long time because she reminded me of a person from my past who is no longer around. A few weeks ago someone put on Joga and I just wanted to cry. It felt like closure. Making up for lost time, would be nice to see her perform. Thank you.

I need to see Bjork because I sat next to her at an Italian restaurant in Little Italy years ago and my ex-girlfriend stupidly told our waiter she was famous. The waiter proceeded to disturb Bjork and her family's lunch with silly photo-ops and autograph requests. I broke up with my girlfriend a week later, and now I owe Bjork some love. Plus I go back to gling-glo as a fan!

i want to see bjork because the last time i saw her my seat was so torturously bad i spent the entire show unable to see a thing except the ding-dongs in front of me who kept spilling their plastic cups of cheap white wine on me while doing what i think was supposed to be a synchronized middle-aged-white-person's dance but looked more like what i imagine two people's bodies would look like after they've both chugged half of a bottle of industrial strength carpet cleaner. please let me see bjork this time so that this time i can actually see bjork.

I have been a Bjork fan for more than a decade and have never successful made it into her shows. If given the opportunity I would mouth along with every word(singing might annoy other concert goers) and perhaps even tear up during certain songs.
