Last Night's Action: No Wins Here

2006_04_syankeeslogo.jpg

  • Royals 7 Yankees 0: Kei Igawa should buy a plane ticket back to Japan. Today’s ledger of 5.2 innings, seven hits and 2 walks while allowing five runs just reinforced the fact that Igawa is nothing more than a batting practice pitcher. The Yankees could have won seven-straight, but they didn’t, at least we know that Igawa is junk and Phil Hughes will be back in the rotation soon.
  • Pirates 8 Mets 4: Oliver Perez needs more fielding practice and Scott Schoenweiss needs to look for another job. Lastings Milledge hit his third home run of the year to bring the Mets closer, but it was all for naught.
  • Chivas 2 Red Bulls 0: Chivas scored in the 38th and 87th minute for the win.
  • Oneonta 5 Staten Island 3: Chris Farley (yes, that’s really his name) couldn’t hold the lead and the Tigers won thanks to a three-run second.
  • Sun 79 Liberty 75: Evanthia Maltsi scored eight points in the final two minutes for the win.

It wasn't all Igawa's fault - where was the offense? Why did we strand like 9 men on base?

They're RUNS not POINTS.

They're RUNS not POINTS.

Then why is it called a Three Point Shot? No really, I've never heard of this before

in baseball they're called runs darling.

seriously, anyone that calls runs in baseball points needs to watch a little more baseball so they can actually learn something about it.
