Omido: Designed by Avroko (who did Public, among others), this high-end sushi restaurant brings a bit of luxury to midtown West with touches like foie gras and gold leaf among the raw fish. 1695 Broadway at 53rd Street, 212-247-8110.

Georgia's Eastside BBQ: Get a taste of Atlanta on the Lower East Side with another barbecue newcomer. Thrillist reports that they will be offering $25 all-you-can-eat blue crab on Sundays and for another $10 you can add all-you-can-eat ribs. Wakiya: Originally, London-based Chef Alan Yau was slated to be the superstar, but Chef Yuji Wakiya stepped when the deal fell through. This heavy-hitter combines upscale Northern Chinese cuisine with the opulence of Ian Schrager's Gramercy Park Hotel. 2 Lexington Ave between 21st and 22nd, 212-995-1330.
