Lacking confidence? If it's limited to the kitchen, Chef Brendan McDermott can help you out. He will introduce an overview of basic cooking concepts including basic cooking techniques, terminology, knife skills, and food safety information. The class will conclude with Chef McDermott demonstrating a recipe using the techniques and tips. 7:00 PM, $35, bring your own knife. The Brooklyn Kitchen, 616 Lormier Street.
