End your 7/11/07 with a free 7.11 oz Slurpee today! All day 7-Eleven has been handing out the free frozen drink in celebration of their birthday. A little nutritional fact about the drink: "Slurpees are mostly water ice and are heavily infused with air; there is less food energy in a Slurpee than in the same volume of a soda. They are also generally considered kosher 'parve', as well as halal." Here are some Slurpee tips and recipes. Just beware the dreaded brain freeze!

Of course, if you go to the 7-Eleven Kwik-E-Mart in Times Square...you'll have to order a Squishee instead, but it's still free!

I was at the Kwik-E-Mart on 42nd today and no free Squishees seemed to be handed out.
There's also a kwik e mart on 23rd street off park avenue south.
Would I be considered racist for calling the Indian guy in the Kwik-E-Mart "Apu".
i'm indian. calling an indian at the refashioned 7-11's apu would definitely be racist.
Tasteless though it may seem, if you're Indian, and you own a 7-11, and you agree to take money to dress your store up as a Kwik-E-Mart to promote the Simpsons movie (I don't imagine 7-11s are doing all that for free), I think you've gotta expect that being called "Apu" a few times comes with the territory.
Funny. All of my Indian-American friends and their Indian-Indian parents think Apu is a hoot.
I once went to an Indian restaurant and used spanish colloquially in conversation with the owner and she got all offended that I thought she was spanish. So now I try to speak spanish to everyone Indian I meet. A little too self conscious aren't we?
Why is it racist to call a man "Apu" who is actually dressed like Apu?
I passed through the 42nd street 7-11 in a cab and was wondering "wtf, they changed it to a Kwik-E-Mart?" I had no clue it was part of a promotions for the Simpsons. I'm SLOW.
uh, he DOES have a name tag on him.
and it's NOT apu.
