  • Angels 2 Yankees 1 (13 innings): The Yankees had their chances and probably would have won this game if they hadn’t made five errors in it. The biggest were Miguel Cairo’s mishandling of a grounder in the top of the 13th, which resulted in two errors and allowed the Angels to score the go-ahead run.

Cairo tried for redemption in the bottom of the inning with a single and got to third with only one out, but he couldn’t get home because Melky Cabrera struck out for the fifth time in the game and Derek Jeter grounded out to end things.

  • Mets 5 Astros 3 (17 innings )The Yankees may have played 13 innings and lost, but the Mets went 17 innings and won! Carlos Beltran was the hero with a spectacular catch in the 14th to keep the game going and the game-winning RBI in the 17th.
  • Brooklyn 8 Jamestown 6: The Cyclones used a six-spot in the fifth to overcome a 5-0 deficit and send them to victory.
  • Batavia 8 Staten Island 3: Blame this on the bullpen as it gave up six runs in the final two innings.

Why do you have to link to Fox sports for the box scores? There are other places that have box scores that won't give your readers Fox cooties.
