7 Train Riders, Get Ready to Grade Your Line

The NYC Transit Authority may not be able to figure out which subway stations to paint after more than seven months, but it's taken only two months to launch the report card initiative! Back in May, NYCTA president Howard Roberts Jr. said that he wanted to know what subway and bus riders thought of their respective lines and announced that the 7 line's straphangers would get first crack at filling out report cards.

The Post reports riders "will be able to grade the line from 'A' to 'F' on 21 categories, including cleanliness, security, clarity of announcements and courtesy of transit workers," plus offer three areas for improvement (that sounds like the essay section!). And According to a MTA press release:

The cards will now be handed out along the line starting with stations in Queens, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., as follows:

- Tuesday, July 10th: Main Street/Flushing – 90th Street/Elmhurst Avenue
- Wednesday, July 11th: 82nd Street – 33rd /Rawson Streets
- Thursday, July 12th: Queensboro Plaza – Times Square/42nd Street
