Last Night's Action: Sweep!

- Mets 10 Oakland 2: What a difference a week makes, the Mets snapped out of their recent slump and swept Oakland this weekend, finishing them Sunday with an easy win.
As usual, Jose Reyes got things going, 3-for-4 with a RBI and a double. Valentin and Gomes added three hits and John Maine pitched seven great innings to send the Mets to the victory. The division lead is now 3-games and a big series with Philadelphia is coming up.
- Giants 7 Yankees 2: Losing two of three to the Giants should end any talk of a division title The fans got to see Bonds vs. Clemens, but with the deficit at 11 ½ games, the Yankees have to try and figure out a way to get above .500 and contend for the wild card.
- Fever 74 Liberty 63: After staring the season 5-0, the Liberty now find themselves at 7-6 after a loss to the Fever. The Liberty pulled to within 6 points with under four minutes to play, but the Fever went on a 7-1 run to put the game away.
- Renegades 5 Cyclones 1: On a night where the last pitch of the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field was reenacted by former Dodgers Danny McDevitt and Joe Pignatano, the Cyclones lost and committed four errors.
- Yankees 9 Ironbirds 1: The Yankees finally picked up their second win this season.
