EVENT: Mikhail Baryshnikov, ballet superstar, has joined forces with illustrator Vladimir Radunsky in creating Because..., a children's book. Celebrity authors are also helping out with this "playful book about being true to oneself regardless of how others react." Guess Baryshnikov has been busy after portraying Carrie's boyfriend, Alexander Petrovsky, on Sex and the City. Tonight he's at the 92nd St Y with Radunsky.

THEATER: The Devil on All Sides is the first American production of work by Fabrice Melquiot, one of the most celebrated contemporary French playwrights. His 2003 play examines the Bosnian war through the eyes of a Serbian military deserter who has fallen in love with a Muslim.
