June 7 - June 11: Broadway Panhandler "Yard Sale"
Just because they don't technically have a yard in their new location won't stop Broadway Panhandler from having its annual Yard Sale, where you can find discounts of up to 75 percent off on select cooking supplies. 65 East 8th Street, 212-966-3434.

June 8: Beard on Film
Join directors whose films will be featured at the upcoming NYC Food Film Festival (June 14–16, 21–23, September 6–8): Anne de Mare and Kirsten Kelly (Asparagus! [A Stalk-umentary]), Natasha Dow Schull and Hillevi Zazel Loven (Buffet—All You Can Eat Las Vegas) and George Motz (Hamburger America). Italian Wine Merchants is kicking off a Saturday wine tasting series for the summer, presented in two formats. "A Taste of" is a more casual tasting experience, and "a Study of" is a more formal setting. They'll be starting off with the casual -- learn all about the Italian Wine Merchants wine club, which allows you three membership options to expand your knowledge of Italian wines, while you nibble on regional foods. $50.00. June 9 - 10: 5th Annual Big Apple BBQ Block Party
This two-day barbecue fest features award-winning pitmasters from across the U.S. who have hauled their wares into town to share with the city folk. June 11: Live Chef Auction
Ever wanted a hot date with David Chang, Melissa Murphy, or Jacques Torres? At this charity auction sponsored by the Friends of the FCI, a non-profit organization providing scholarships for students of the French Culinary Institute, you can bid on one. 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at Cipriani, 200 Fifth Avenue. $250/person. June 12: Inaugural Wine Dinner at Amalia
Kick off this new wine dinner series at Amalia with some Spanish flair. Join winemaking couple Sara Pérez of Clos Martinet and René Barbier, Jr. of Clos Mogador vineyards as they pour wines from the Priorat region of Spain to pair with a six-course Spanish-inspired degustation menu created by executive chef Ivy Stark. 7:00 p.m., $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
