#9 Concerned: Yes, I have read other updates from people who know her or know her family: Apparently her vision was *not* permanently damaged, and she is indeed out of the hospital, and doctors are pleased with her recovery. I've also read that she is starting to venture outside and to see friends, all of which is great. She has a long road ahead of her, but has a very strong family and church support system, so that's the "good" side of this tragedy.....

She's recovering very well. There was an article in the Daily News that told of her graduation from Columbia, which means she must be out of the hospital now.

There's no comparison, Josh. There was no evidence in the Duke case, only the accusations of one woman. This guy is an ex-con, and every one of his actions like the razors shows a propensity for violence and sociopathy. Notice how his lawyer refuses to let authorities take DNA samples. What innocent man doesn't want DNA testing?

Look, whoever did this is scum of the lowest order, but let's remember that Williams is innocent until a jury finds him guilty. Remember how everyone piled on the Duke lacrosse players and then felt really stupid when the charges turned out to be false?

This happened in my new neighborhood, and I'm sure glad they caught the guy. I sorta feel like everybody in the neighborhood and at Columbia should get one good whack at him, but I hope he at least serves the hardest time there is. I wonder how the victim is recovering? Last I heard she was still in the hospital. I can't imagine...
