Says pretty clearly on the install page for Virtual Earth 3D that it requires "Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, or the Windows Vista operating system." No surprise that Google has their shit together enough to support more than one platform. No surprise that Microsoft doesn't, either.

looks like the images were taken last summer so cbgb is still there which is kind of neat. i spent way too much time this morning trying to see if i could spot anyone i knew hanging around downtown that day. so far no luck.

this worked great on my mac as well. Amazon used to have a similar street level service that has since closed. Shame - cause they were almost better cause you got a heads on shot of the building - which is harder to do with this.

I guess why I am getting different results with the Micro$oft thing is because I am using a Mac and Firefox which are probably preventing some big security hole from being exploited, I mean having their website work as intended.
