hey i know i'm just interrupting the sound of the internet butting its head against itself like one of those bad "visionary" psychedelic posters you can buy from an alex grey knockoff, but the issue is that the comparison is pointless. it's used because it obviously carries emotional and rheotrical weight; i.e. politics. but who should streets be named after if not those dead who are to be lionized (in a very small way, after all) by the living? barron is a pro-black leftist, and outside of the pedophile bit his rhetoric is to be expected. this is part of his routine, much like marty markowitz is contractually obligated to connect all natural phenomena with brooklyn. as amusing as it is to bring up unrelated bits, like playing host to mugabe or his utterly misinformed views on european immigration in the late 19th century, it doesn't actually answer any questions. if people, and especially white people, learned to treat the word racist as just another insult, public discussions might not get stuck in the 3rd grade all of the time. we can bring things up to the 5th grade and start playing dodgeball!

Countries like Sweden and Canada exist in their present form entirely because they can sell goods to the US. Make fun of places like Calgary but if the Western Provinces didn't sell oil and timber to the US the Canadians would never be able to pay for their welfare state. And the Western Provinces pay more in taxes to Ottawa than they gate back. And Western Europe is incredibly racist. You don't see it because most minorities live in projects away from the city centers and the museums and cafes that the tourists never stray far from.

As for Sweden, they have a bit of an immigration problem which is collapsing their welfare system at the moment, I wouldn't expect you to know that, but would be kind of cool of you to immigrate there.
