For most women I know in NYC, Fleet Week is the best week of the Year. I love looking at a sailor in uniform. Welcome, boys!

Al Qaeda? Hardly. It did kinda sound like mortars, but knowing i was in nyc and teh harbors are filled with destroyers on top of nexus teams, i knew we were pretty safe.

Can't wait to deal with drunken sailors in the bars. Sailors tend to hang in the blue collar or B&T bars. They don't want to hang with obnoxious elitist Gothamist types.

The Marines do not have ships, the Navy has the ships and the USMC is a part of the USN. However, the Navy does have ships specially outfitted for operations by the Marines, such as Landing Ship Docks so the Marines can carry out their amphibious warfare mission.
