Gothamist: Baby Falcons at the Throgs Neck Bridge

What happened to the 55 Water street falcons? Every year they have babies; this year the webcam shows the empty nest only: no sign of the parents or even the eggs. Will the DEP set up a webcam on the bridge so that we can follow the development of the Throgsneck Bridge chicks?

Work at Maritime, found large eggs on the grass out side the mail room area. Some are broken???

Great, cute birds and I wish we had more of these in New York City. This way I wouldn't have to worry about pigeon's crap on my car (for some reason they choose only the cars that came out of the car wash).

Notice he's not touching the talons bare handed! Even that young, those chicks can do serious damage with their talons--they are super strong! Just think...by autumn these chicks will be the fastest creatures on earth once they learn how to hunt! Peregrines clock at over 200 mph! Beautiful...but boy will they be deadly soon!
