Rudy is a whore. It's one thing to evoke 9/11 within the context of a discussion of current events, it's another to MAKE MONEY off it, and use the deaths of those people to propel yourself into the political limelight for your own personal gain, which is what he is doing shamelessly. Oh please. And the rest of them are running for president for the betterment of the country? No one's that naive

"...which prompted applause from the audience" now, there are "applause" signs all over the letterman studio. they light the sign all the time. i guarantee you the audience wasn't prompted by rudy. they were promted by the person hitting the applause button.

Why do we New Yorkers always spew such venom about people from out of town? Especially when most of us are from out of town, ourselves? I'd hazard a guess, but most of the people who read this very blog are probably Brooklyn-living hipsters who come from places like Peoria and Scranton and Omaha. 9/11 wasn't the biggest loss of civilian life in American history. In one day, yes, but over the course of WW2, there were about 11,000 civilian deaths. The American Civil War killed about 500,000 civilians. Rudy is a whore. And Entergy, owner of several nuclear plants including Indian Point, is one of his clients. Just as Bush and Cheney, oil men, advanced oil interests at the expense of all else, so Giuliani will attempt to advance nuclear power. Funny that he doesn't seem to have anything to say about recent security and operation failures at Indian Point.

More Giuliani play on words... even if we find more oil, it's going to be tough to get it to where it needs to go because we haven't built a refinery in 20, 25 years, 30 years. Just because a new refinery has been built doesn't mean they haven't increased capacity at the existing ones. They all have expanded or are expanding.

Wow, I didn't realize nuclear energy was even on the table anymore. I also can't believe he isn't waging war on oil dependence, but every one of his comments make one thing clear: Giuliani is deeply, deeply entrenched in the military industrial complex.

that's not "body language" in the sense that giuliani is feeling cramped or nervous or hiding something during the interview. that's just how he holds himself, all the time. if you ever see him in out in the open in person you'll notice...he looks almost like an alien or something. regardless i think he's a good candidate
