EVENT: LVHRD has eliminated the weak, and now only the strong (karaoke singers) survive. Tonight, come check them out as they battle over the title at MCFGHT II, where they'll "engage in a number of singing challenges that will test not just their singing ability, but also their performance presence, grace under pressure and unique karaoke personality."
8pm // Location TBA // $11 members, $22 non-members, buy tickets here
THEATER: Bill Corbett & Kira Obolensky’s Hate Mail is described as an “acerbic, modern cousin” to A.R. Gurney’s WASPy Love Letters. The play charts a nasty entanglement between Preston, an “entitled Midwesterner”, and Dahlia, an avant-garde New York artist. “The biting comedy begins when Preston sends multiple complaint letters that lead to Dahlia losing her job. As their vitriolic letters and emails reach a fever pitch, the unlikely couple realize there is a thin line between love and hate.” - John Del Signore
8pm // The Independent Theater [52-A W 8th St] // Tickets cost $18
MUSIC: Dan Bern's song "Talkin' Woody, Bob, Bruce, and Dan Blues" pretty much describes what he sounds like in its title. Woody Guthrie, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan all influence his style of song. Check him out tonight as he (folk) rocks Park Slope.

8pm // Southpaw [125 5th Ave, Brooklyn] // $16
