I didn't say I used a "Brita Filter" dude . I said a had a filter system installed . Their is a difference you know . My system cost me $[1.000] and removes all known contaminants, It's the type of system that uses a about the same amount of space as a hot water boiler uses . Yeah it's expensive but the shit works and that is the point right ? The only problem with this system is that after about [6] months a technician has too visit my house and clean out the filter . Personally, I think it's worth the money, The cleaning service is free of charge, & it's [6] months, & [20] minutes between servicing !!!!! You can't beat that ! Brita is a start, If you want cleaner, clearer water this system actually purifies that water . It's made by a company called "Perus" .

You're still drinking tap water, you're just drinking filtered tap water (and with a cheap filter). It's doubtful that your Brita system would remove perc. The most effective perc removal system for water is called air stripping, which basically involves maximizing water surface area in order to expose the water to air so the chemical can dissipate. Your Brita is an enclosed system that minimizes air exposure.

Well that's not a problem for me . I stop drinking tap water years ago ! I recently had a filtration system installed purifying all my water . For those who can't afford this, Go and buy a Brita filter, They really works and are economically sound . Hell if there going to charge us for the water then it should be clean and safe from contaminants . You the user have to do ur part here !
