This story is plain and simple racism because most drivers are african-american, hispanic, & muslim. Are we (minorities) not considered CAPABLE of protecting our fellow americans from street poles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guarantee these drivers don't bill electrical union labor rates and don't take 3 hour lunch breaks.

We saw this exact thing on Franklin St. a few weeks ago, and it just seemed *so odd* - black livery cab sitting there, parked, orange cone on the top of it. He was there when we walked to dinner and still there when we walked back. I wondered if he was undercover or a bodyguard of some kind. But nothing was taped off and there was no signage. If I had been by myself I might have chosen another way home.

Yikes, one of these was parked outside my apartment the other day and now Con Ed is working outside to fix the problem I guess! It was a black livery car with a cone on top. What a weird coinky dink.
