EVENT: The Brooklyn Kitchen is hosting a series of live in-store cooking demos with local rockers to help celebrate the release of Kara Zuaro’s new book, I Like Food, Food Tastes Good.. Tonight, Les Savy Fav frontman Tim Harrington will school us all in ceviche while likely wearing one of his very own aprons.
7 to 9pm // The Brooklyn Kitchen [616 Lorimer St] // Free
MUSIC: The Wordless Music series is pretty self-explanatory. Some of the best musicians get invited to play their songs sans lyrics. Tonight The Books and Real Quiet will play on their own, then together.
7:30pm // The Concert Hall at the New York Society for Ethical Culture [2 W 64th St] // $20
THEATER: The Zipper Theater on the West Side has just completed a renovation and expansion, and will henceforth be known as The Zipper Factory. A restaurant/tavern has been added, there is an outdoor patio bar, and Chef Larry Kolar is in charge of the menu. Examine The Zipper yourself as Brian Charles Rooney, who made his Broadway debut in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Threepenny Opera, takes you on a “journey through an evening of audio and visual stimulation the likes of which only a four octave range, an intelligently humorous sensibility, and a provocative agenda of theatrical bravery could manifest.” - John Del Signore
8pm // The Zipper Factory [336 W 37th] // Tickets cost $22.
TRIVIA: It's Monday, which means you better spend some time brushing up on obscure rock facts today in preperation for weekly Rock n' Roll trivia night! At the end of each of the three rounds you could win you and your teammates a round of drinks.
8pm // Pianos [158 Ludlow St] // Free
PARTY: This party has everything from films to disco to HAPPY HOUR ALL NIGHT LONG...all this other stuff listed on the flyer:

8:30pm to 4:30am // Gallery Bar [120 Orchard St] // Free

For a minute there I thought that was Anthony Robins, that self help guru.
