The Tribeca film festival is about Amex and being exclusive to people who have a little more money than most. The first week or so that tickets go on sale are only open to people with an Amex card!Read the Tribeca film festival's own words below as taken from their website and tell me there isn't a huge contradiction.

"The Company's mission is to provide artists with unique platforms to expand the audience for their works and to broaden the access point for consumers to experience independent film and media"

So much for DeNiro or should I say "dinero".

[The conspiracy theory amongst the High Liners is that DeNiro was responsible for Tribeca's PR firm, Rubenstein, turning down doing press for High Line.]

who gives a fuck? seriously, who cares?!?!

[Whether this is true or not, in reality, both can coexist - the city is big enough for two festivals with different focuses.]

nice reporting, captain obvious.

ms. carlson,

for your next assignment, please tell us two things:
how did you get this job? how do you KEEP it?
