The Food is below average. The quality of the meats is there, but they need to refine the sauces (and add a few more), add a few more people behind the meat counter (like, maybe 2 instead of 1?) and stock up on ribs (they've run out the couple times I've been there). Chicken would be nice. The sides are laughably boring.

You can't expect to get good barbcue in the city, but the space here is great and the beer/ bourbon selection is even better.

The food there is horrible. I don't know why you would waste your time going there.

Well of course the prices are high... they have to pay for all this media attention somehow!

I must say, I've pretty much given up on barbecue in this city. None of these places comes even close to the best BBQ joint in Providence, Rhode Island, for crying out loud, or the oven-baked ribs I made at home last weekend.

If you ask me, they're all over-priced and over-hyped.

Fette Sau is delicious and I have the honor of living down the street from them, but a few caveats:

1) Prices are bit high
2) No cornbread
3) They offer the most disgusting sauces you could ever imagine

I'm sure this place will be a hit though as they've got a great space and as this post has stated some great beer selections.

Oh Lordy. I went to Fette Sau recently with three hale and hearty associates, where we were all felled by a delicious but vicious pork-bourboning. Our palates were delighted, but our guts were besieged. We highly recommend it.
