Although no one but Seung-Hui Cho is specifically to blame for last week’s Virginia Tech massacre, his horrific actions unfortunately reflect a larger society that regards human life as cheap and disposable.

There is much gnashing of teeth on the left right now because the court, for the first time since the infamous Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, has allowed a restriction to be placed on the phantom “right” to unfettered abortion-on-demand. Converts to the unholy church of “choice,” whose sacraments are death and violence, are fuming that the court would allow any restraint to be placed on their ability to sacrifice children at the altar of convenience.

But exactly what “constitutional right” is the pro-abortion community so steadfast to preserve?

Answer: Infanticide.

Hunter said--"It's not a baby. It's a fetus. For the same reason you're not in trouble every time you blow a load, it doesn't matter that a fetus is aborted. It is not yet a life."

You sir are wrong--He or her IS a life. Read on---
During a partial birth abortion, the abortionist pulls a fully “viable” child — often kicking and thrashing — feet first from her mother’s womb, leaving only a portion of her head in the birth canal. The abortionist then stabs her through the skull with scissors or some other sharp object, piercing her brain until her kicking and moving about suddenly and violently jerks to a halt. Her brains are then sucked out — collapsing her skull — and her now limp and lifeless body is cast away like so much garbage.

What gets lost in every single one of these abortion debates is the fact that what is at stake is not being "for" or "against" abortion but rather a woman has or does not have the right to elect whether the baby is born or not.

The ONLY person that needs to defend an unborn child is the mother and father.
It is no ones else's business beyond that.

Personally I say screw the children.
I have had enough of this political/religious manipulation in the name of the children.

There are already too many people on this planet already.

There are already too many children who have already been born with no family or are unwanted.

So how about all you bleeding heart "it is for the children" jokers start a list.

An adoption list.

When all of the orphans in this country have homes.
Then you can talk about bringing more unwanted children into the world.
Until then STFU it is none of your business.

People want to protect the unborn fetus but once it is born Exactly who's responsibility is it then?

All you right to life asses need to start putting up some big cash to back up you need for more unwanted children in this world.

If you asses want to force people to have children. Well then you need to financially support them as well.

This bullshit support for the fetus should not stop once it is out of the womb.

put up or shut up.

P.S. shove your religious beliefs... they are not mine and I am tired of religious views being pushed on people buy a govt. that is supposed to separate church and state.
I am tired of nut jobs and their ridiculous belief in a totally factious imaginary friend named god.

People who are Pro-Choice are also Pro-Life. We don't hate life. We don't want ANY abortions to happen. But we feel that it is not up to us to tell women what choice to make. Anyone that wants to control a woman's right to choose - to choose ANYTHING in her life - is treating women as property and keeping them under control.

I just find it ironic that Democrats do such a great job advocating for the underdog in so many situations (minorities, the elderly, the disabled) and yet the group least able to defend itself, unborn children, is completely abandoned.

Get over it - conservativse did not create biology. To say "conservatives view women as property" ignores the fact that there are many, MANY women who are pro-life, including many who have had abortions and deeply regret it.

That said, simply from a legal standpoint this whole issue has become pretty inane. Abortion is not going anywhere, and all it does is give politicians a chance to grandstand by reaffirming laws that already exist and banning procedures that are hardly ever performed to begin with.

more conservative?

James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal has postulated a "theory that abortion is making America more conservative than it otherwise would be", based on two assumptions.

"First, that liberal and Democratic women are more likely to have abortions. Second, that children's political views tend to reflect those of their parents--not exactly, of course, and not in every case, but on average. Thus abortion depletes the next generation of liberals and eventually makes the population more conservative."

I guess there's a right to choose to become extinct too. Please go ahead and exercise it freely - my (as yet unborn) children will thank you.

I'm all for legal abortion but using the rationale that a fetus is not a baby is absurd. Maybe it isn't a baby but is sure as hell a lot closer to a human life than, and I quote from #10 when you "blow a load". One sperm is not a human life. A fertilzed egg has the potential to be a lot more.

Someone should force all registered Democrats and other pro-lifers that think a fetus is not a life to sign a statement attesting to that claim and then deny them any right to sue a doctor for malpractice should they ever lose a fetus. Ditto if someone gets into a car accident with them or somehow is responsible for them losing the fetus. Hey, is wasn't a life. you aren't entitled to any compensation.

And I just realized, ever noticed how when women miscarry they say they "lost the baby"? They don't say, they "lost a clump of cells".

Judges have always been held to account on what we can and can not do concerning life and health issues.
Murder is against the law. Should judges absolve that law, declare it unconstitutional, because it interferes with my freedom, or uphold it?

The point is that the argument-- that judges shouldn't be judging law concerning life, specifically medical procedures that may result in life or death-- is groundless.

Why is it horrifying if the mother dies, but its ok if the baby dies?

Doesn't the baby have a right to live?

America's government needs to learn the Chinese Idiom:
"Water from the river cannot interfere with the
water from the well."

Why are Judges telling what the doctors can or cannot do ?

This is how the abortion debate should take place. By politically accountable elected officials. And the judges are not giving medical advice, they are determining if a law, enacted by a constitutionally formed legislature, violates the constitutionally defined contract with the people. If you think the bench is full of idiots you've not taken the time to read their opinions.

oh, and just to not speak out of school: I hear conservatives eat baby sandwiches. Ruben style. With butter toasted marble rye.

How many of us go to a doctor for legal advice? So, why are we depending on judges to give out medical advice? I have met women who have had partial birth abortions-in order to save thier lives. A few went on, to have more children with no problems. If they had been denied this kind of abortion, or had had to wait while their doctor got some judge to decide to let it be done, they'd be either dead or invalided for the rest of thier lives.
Everyone, donate to Planned Parenthood, so they can fight the idiots on the bench.
