- Tody on the Gothamist NewsMap: a carjacking in Staten Island; a missing patient at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn; and a fatal accident in Queens.
- The Staten Island carjacking, which included a police chase, injured three people, including a child and a police officer. One suspect is in custody and police are on scene looking for a possible 2nd suspect.
- The fatal accident in Queens was a small school bus striking a 23 year-old woman in Richmond Hill. The bus had special-ed students from St. Joseph's - the students are uninjured.
- Don't you hate it when parolees commit crime again? Timothy Murray, who has a 20-year history of crime and was paroled less than a year ago, mugged a Baruch College professor, stabbing the professor's boyfriend several times in the process. After fleeing with a purse and bracelet, the police found him pretending to sleep on a bench.

- Think your state senator is doing a good job? They sure do! The senate has introduced a bill to increase their salary and that of state judges (effective immediately), the governor, and other elected officials. They love the bill so much that the bill has unanimous support.
- Portions of a building set for demolition for Bruce Ratner's Atlantic Yards project collapsed this morning. Perhaps it can be seen as a cost savings for Ratner?
- Over in New Jersey, Governor Corzine says he's "the most blessed person that ever lived." Actually, if he was, he probably would have been blessed enough to wear his seatbelt.
