Last Night's Action: Mets Strike Back

  • Mets 7 Braves 2: Jose Reyes missed hitting for the cycle because he didn’t get a single, while Carlos Beltran missed because he didn’t hit a home run. No matter, because the Mets pounded the Braves behind the two of them. Beltran and Reyes went 7-for-10 with a home run and 3 RBI’s. Ramon Castro and Damion Easley both went deep and Oliver Perez struck out nine in six innings.
  • Boston 7 Yankees 5: New York blew its best chance to get out of Boston with a win on Friday and Jeff Karstens didn’t pitch well enough on Saturday. Now, the Yankees will have to beat the much-heralded “Dice-K” Sunday night to avoid the sweep.
  • Nets 96 Raptors 91: New Jersey jumped out ahead early and withstood a rally late to take the first game of their playoff series. Richard Jefferson had 28 points while Jason Kidd had 15 rebounds to go along with 10 assists and 8 points. The series resumes Tuesday night in Toronto.

  • Still Not Amused

Saw the game, It's looking like the Mets are really going to be the team to beat this summer . Their pitching kind of scares me though .
