<description>&lt;p&gt;awards for art is just so counter-creative. being an artist and being lucky enough to create and keep evolving as an artist and a person should be the ultimate award - or reward. we live in a culture of people who are more interested in the art of getting attention and being applauded. award shows are just so offensive and more about vanity and ego much less about art. to call a piece of art &quot;the best&quot; is just stupid.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;I think it&apos;s a great idea to not give an award - if there&apos;s nothing they deem worthy, wait til something is. The annual cycle award system is fairly arbitrary.  And there&apos;s such a proliferation of them anyway. It&apos;s the post-college version of grade inflation.  


Less awards, better work.  &lt;/p&gt;</description>
