#3, the new proposed LED lights use a very, very small amount of electricity compared to normal lights. We're literally talking a hundred times more energy efficient. Look up LED lighting on Google to learn more.

At the end of the Times article, the reporter seems to be lamenting the fact that the upper floors won't be transformed into a Times Square-esque billboard, which just gives me the willies.

While I love the idea of more colors for the ESB's lighting, I don't know if I want anything too fancy. The solid colors are really elegant.
