With a Spoonful of Sugar, But Not Trans-Fats

While there's no video of Mayor Bloomberg's Inner Circle Dinner performance online yet (though there's a YouTube clip of someone taping the CW 11's New at Ten - complete with giggling at Mayor Mike), the Daily News' Daily Politics did post this commercial for "Mayor Poppins." Elizabeth Benjamin writes, "My favorite part is Mark Green, playing himself and uttering a line so quintessentially Mark Green it's scary."

NY1 said the annual skit spoofed "issues like Starrett City and eminent domain, the recent rat problem at a Manhattan restaurant and the city's education system." And the Mayor also discussed running - or maybe not running - for President, before flying off with an umbrella The NY Times' Empire Zone offered,"It doesn’t sound supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, but maybe you had to be there," and mygreenspace revealed there was a "rousing rendition of 'Brooklynqueensthebronxandstatenislandandmanhattan,' sung to the tune of 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.'"

They should televise the Inner Circle. Some of the female reporters get pretty foxy at that show. A few years ago Lynne White stripped while pretending to be Carol Shaya, the Playboy policewoman.

NYPost:

Hazel Sanchez knocked 'em dead with her eye-popping bump-and-grind at the Inner Circle show put on by the city's political reporters Saturday night - but her Ch. 2 colleague, veteran journo Marcia Kramer, didn't appreciate her efforts. Sanchez, portraying Shakira and dressed in a scanty, belly-baring costume, "had just started doing her maximum gyrations when Marcia got up, grabbed her coat and stormed out," said our spy. "I guess she wasn't impressed." Neither Kramer nor Sanchez returned our calls.
