The Wall Street Journal won two Pulitzer Prizes today, the most of any newspaper this year. The Journal's honored articles were for Public Service (the backdating of stock options by executives) and International Reporting ("its sharply edged reports on the adverse impact of China's booming capitalism on conditions ranging from inequality to pollution").
The NY Times won for Andrea Elliott's three-part series on a Brooklyn imam, while Newsday's Walt Handelsman won for editorial cartoons. And the Daily News' editorial board won an Pulitzer for its editorials on behalf of sick Ground Zero workers (take that, NY Post). Additionally, David Lindsay-Abaire won for his play, The Rabbit Hole, which played on Broadway last year.

Gah. I don't usually get on the grammar nitpicking train, but the name of the play is Rabbit Hole. Two words. Rabbit. Hole. There is no 'The'. It played on Broadway to considerable success and acclaim, right here in our city, and was correct in the Pulitzer press releases. There's no excuse...
