The Colorado Blue Spruce I planted in Queens this weekend is most assuredly drowning.

Just about 100% of the apartments on my floor had leaks, since we're on the top. Anyone else have major water situations?

I love how only when the storm hits NYC does it make national news-its been wreaking havoc and killing people in the middle of the country for a week previously. One would think that storms just pop up over New York rather than move in from the south or the west like they usually do.

As for the storm itself, yeah it sucks, but anyone that's been through a hurricane or a real Southern Plains storm has seen worse plenty of times over. At least it made Sunday extra cozy.

They say 1,700 without power. Factoring in Con Ed's wacky math, I wonder what the real number is.

the rain sucked and caused lots of problems, but i gotta say i loved how eeriely quiet it was around my neighborhood (bushwick), an oddity for a weekend.

this morning, i saw the garbage men pick up my building's trash. when they compacted it, there was all this garbage juice that poured out the back. it was way more than your normal garbage juice due to the rain. the sanitation worker who pulled the lever quickly moved out of the way.
it was pretty nasty.

"In like a lion, out like a lamb" is a saying about March. The April saying is, "April showers bring May flowers."
