- Yankees 10 Twins 1: Apparently, Alex Rodriguez should have come clean about his relationship with Derek Jeter years ago. Unburdened by no longer living a lie, Rodriguez has opened the season as well as anyone ever has, belting his sixth homer in seven games Tuesday night as part of a 10-run barrage by the Yankees’ offense.
A-Rod got things started in the first and the other bats joined in later. Johnny Damon hit a three-run homer and every starter reached base at least once. Andy Pettitte rebounded from his terrible start last week to pitch six shutout innings.

Tim, regardless of the booing, even if over the last three years he had been showered with praise, flowers and virgins by yankee fans, he would still be just as likely to opt out and renegociate his contract as he is now after three years of (at times unjust) scrutiny. he's a businessman, and he is represented by boras, who will always try to sqeeze as much out of a contract as possible. thats why his contract was written that way despite already being the biggest contract ever all those years ago. don't hate the players, hate the game.
