Venue was cool. Iggy was great. People whining about the commute, should stay downtown to go to their own crappy venues with the other fake cool people. Or go to Jersey..that would be better!

Iggy was fantastic--he really gives it his all on stage. What incredible energy--squirming, dancing, losing his pants (btw was he wearing a thong, or was it out there? Couldn't tell from where I was). Just wish he'd done 2 or 3 more songs.

Better than pollstar - beethere.net - it works with your ipod. As for the venue - ok, seats at an Iggy show=bad idea, especially for the one guy who got 'escorted' out for throwing them on-stage. But that being said, the venue was really interesting - reminded me of the Beacon, but with a lot more character..

clearly none of you have heard of pollstar.com. check it out, mighty handy little device for keeping track of shows. and no, it's not nearly a full-time job. Unless you're really that lazy. I was at the show last night...the venue is a beautiful building - but a horrible venue. The band rocked, but the sound was awful (venue issue, not band issue); the vibe was awful (who wants seats at a rock show?); and the lobby/"bar" area is just too small & crowded. Bowery peeps need to keep their shows downtown, travelling up to 175th to be rewarded with a crappy venue just doesn't cut it. I'll head to jersey next time (shudder).

kris, if you live in new york and also have internet access, and can't find out about shows in advance, then you are a COMPLETE idiot. maybe it's a hint that you shouldn't bother.

why can't we find out about shows before they happen? This isn't the first time you've reported saying things like, "oh my god if you missed this you suck!" But if we read your site, and you go to the show...you obviously know of it before hand. Why not share?
