Does this mean Imus is going into rehab? I have to agree with Truth. While I TOTALLY don't agree with what Imus said (it really is inexcusable and he probably shoudl be taken off the air permanently), Al Sharpton is an opportunistic slime bucket who uses situations to his advantage. How many lives has he ruined (starting with everyone who he touched from the Tawana Brawley case on) and slithered away completely untouched? Yet politicians continue to pander to him and the press continues to defer to him. No one is ever going to take the cause of equality seriously as long as people like him are so-called 'civic leaders.' (this is where I spit to clean my mouth out from putting that man and civic leader in the same ball park.

AL SHARPTON's racism and incitement: Al Sharpton became the de-facto representative for the Cato family. During the funeral he referred to "diamond merchants" considered a code word for Hasidic Jews, for shedding "the blood of innocent babies" leading marchers shouting "No Justice No Peace". Sharpton did not start the riots but his rhetoric was seen as inflammatory and unhelpful in easing the tension between the black and Jewish communities. A visiting rabbinical student from Australia by the name of Yankel Rosenbaum, 29 years old, was killed during the rioting by a mob shouting "Kill the Jew". When a black member of the crowd did so, killing several people and himself, Sharpton initially denied having been present.
