SCIENCE: The UnCoolKids have done it again, scoping out the science events around the city. Tonight is Café Scientifique:
”Café Scientifique is a monthly informal gathering in which scientists discuss ideas over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with people of all backgrounds and professions. Making science accessible to anyone keen on learning, the cafés provide a unique opportunity for the public to discuss scientific trends and developments affecting and changing our lives.”
This week Columbia University's Darcy Kelly presents “Killing Me Softly With His Song: Sexual Selection, Male Aggression & Underwater Songs of African Frogs”. That actually sounds kind of...weird.

MUSIC: Land of Talk and The Muggabears are at Union Hall tonight. If you haven't heard LoT's Elizabeth Powell's vocals lead this bands guitar heavy rock, we suggest you treat yourself tonight. The band played our Movable Hype show in 2006, you can check out that performance here:

THEATER: Bernard Weinraub, a veteran journalist for the Times, is widely respected for his reporting on the Vietnam War and D.C. politics during the Reagan/Bush years. His first play, The Accomplices, is now receiving its world premiere by The New Group. In it, Weinraub dramatizes the Roosevelt administration’s initial disinterest in rescuing European Jews from the Nazis. The story centers on Jewish political activist and Revisionist Zionist Hillel Kook, who arrives in America from Palestine at the start of World War II and fights to “shatter a conspiracy of silence and inaction.” - John Del Signore
TRIVIA: The Triviacrats raise the trivia bar tonight with questions that will make you prove just how smart you really are. The Tour Guides of Levy’s Unique New York will lead you in a "rousing round of booze-fueled trivia duels. Prizes and drink tickets to the brainiest!“
