REVS, Slightly More Revealed!

Via Razor Apple, there's a great video of graffiti artist REVS getting ready to install a 400-pound sculpture. Though REVS's face is blurred out, we can tell he's tall, bald and badass - exactly what we imagined! And the NY Times' description of him from a 2005 article seems spot-on: "blackened fingernails of an ironworker, along with the vaguely feral intensity of someone on the lam."

Here are photographs of REVS' work on Streetsy.com. And here's his Wikipedia entry.

Someone vandalized and removed his sculpture that was on 5th Avenue and 25th Street in Brooklyn recently.

I can't post a URL, but if you go to the City Noise page and search for 5th Avenue and Park Slope you can see his sculpture before it was vandalized.
