Pair of 8's owner Ron Didner and new Chef Matthew Hamilton (formerly of Prune, Uovo, and Zuni Cafe, pictured at right) pair up with Best Cellars to host the first of this monthly series starting with Wine 101. Wine will be paired with five courses. $70 for a single class and $65 for two or more classes, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Call 212-362-8730 to register. 568 Amsterdam Avenue between 87th and 88th Streets.

April 2: Wine Monday at Cercle Rouge
Wines by the bottle from Germany, Austria & Slovenia are 50% off, so there's no excuse to try something new. Cercle Rouge is located at 241 West Broadway, 212-226-6252.

April 2 - 3: Passover at Louie's Westside Cafe
Louie's is serving up a four-course traditional Passover seder complete with brisket, matzo ball soup, and all the trimmings. $38 per person, call 212-877-1900 for reservations, 441 Amsterdam Avenue, at 81st Street.

April 2 - 7: Passover at Rosa Mexicano
Rosa Mexicano is melding Jewish and Mexican traditions for their Passover menu. Try Beef Tongue Tacos, chipotle chopped liver, or cilantro matzo ball soup, and top it all off with a chocolate egg cream with Fox's U-Bet syrup, a winner in any culture. Visit rosamexicano.com for locations.

April 3: Tabla's Unleavened Bread Bar
Tabla’s executive chef Floyd Cardoz spices up Passover by offering a three-course meal with an Indian twist, complete with wine pairings. The evening begins at 7 PM in Tabla’s Dining Room with a service led by Tabla regular Burt Fendelman, whose wife Helen brought the Passover idea to the restaurant in early 2006. $90 plus tax and 20% service charge.
