Pencil This In

2007_03_arts_okgo.jpgMUSIC: If the line to get in to The Good, The Bad and The Queen playing the Apple Store earlier this year was blocks long, we can only imagine what it will be like for YouTube video sensations Ok Go. The band plays there tonight, but will they bring the treadmills?

6pm // Apple Store SoHo [103 Prince St] // Free

EVENT: Every last Tuesday of each month you can see the stars. Well, sort of. At the monthly event you will “enjoy a live presentation under the brilliant stars of the Zeiss Mark IX Star Projector. This tour of the heavens offers a view of the constantly changing night sky. Learn about the current positions of the Moon, planets, and stars, as well as visual spectacles such as meteor showers, eclipses, and conjunctions.”

6:30pm // Hayden Planetarium Space Theater at AMNH [Central Park West at 79th St] // $12

FILM: PopRally presents an exclusive screening of The Great World of Sound, followed by a cocktail reception. The film follows two record producers around the country in search of the next big things, addressing "the growing trend of people looking for a shortcut to fame, as well as examines the people who promise such an easy path."

7 to 10pm // MoMA [11 W 53rd St] // $8

THEATER: The Gregor and Olga Show revels in post-war German cabaret sex and excess; the evening swirls ribaldly around Gregor, an embittered Berlin poet and his lascivious Russian wife Olga. It’s 1947 and they’ve brought their scandalous vaudeville routine to New York City. Things spin out of control when a burlesque dancer (played by the mesmerizing Miss Ruby Valentine) and a nightclub crooner get caught in the crossfire between the apopleptic poet and his termagant bride. - John Del Signore

9:30pm // The Duplex Cabaret Theatre [61 Christopher St] // Tickets cost $18 with a two drink minimum

Thanks for the heads-up, Jen! The OK Go Mini Show was great fun. Damien confessed to staying up a bit late the night before; he sounded a bit horse and had a few false starts, but his enthusiasm and humor were still intact. He, Andy and Tim played a six song set:

* "Here it goes again"
* "What to do"
* "Do what you want"
* "Oh Lately it's so quiet"
* E.L.O.'s "Don't bring me down"
* "A million ways"
