This is just like the St. Guillen case, relatively attractive and thin white girl get killed, as tragic as it is, is played up in the media like crazy. While everyday at least one nameless person is murdered somewhere in NYC and gets the blotter treatment.
By the way, "very beautiful" is totally too generous.
To everyone that is commenting on her looks, are you honestly going down that path right now?
If you knew her, she was an amazing person - inside and out. It's true, she was gorgeous..she was very intelligent, and she had one of those personalities that you would remember for the rest of your life.
Her parents are not the type at all to stand out in the spotlight and beg for attention..which is probably why you haven't seen them on the news..but no one told the news agency to play up on her looks. No one begged for the newspaper to talk about her being a "southern belle" and play up that role..the NEWS does it. How dare anyone talk down on someone that was murdered, just because the NEWS decided to use that story.
