There is mostly street art in Wmsbrg and the LES... I think most people that live there saw it before they moved in. It's not on the Upper West Side. Go live there.

it's new york city. graffiti is an integral part of new york city culture and history. have you ever seen graffiti in the burbs? it's pathetically bad by bored wannabe skaters. at least here, there's energy and creativity behind some of it and deserves to be documented on omgwtf! a new york city blog. go out there and scrub it off, if graffiti so wildly offends your delicate sensibilities - or better yet move the fuck out of nyc!

Maybe, just maybe, someone is tired of seeing graffiti all over our town and is trying to make a point. I hate graffiti too, and unless it's indoors as an installation, it should not be legitimized as an art form by websites like yours.
